What is the cheapest way to get from the airport in Fort Lauderdale to Miami International?

I’m flying into Fort Lauderdal but I’m taking a cruise out of the Port of Miami, and am willing to travel from Fort Lauderdale to the Miami Airport, and then to take a taxi from the Miami Airport to the Port if that would be the cheapest option. Rent a car for the day maybe, and return it to the Miami Airport? Probably not taxi all the way from Fort Lauderdale. What do you guys think?
