Depending on the time of day, traffic here goes from bad to worse. There are a lot of rude, impatient drivers. There are a ton of immigrants that learned to drive in other countries (Cuba, Haiti, etc) that haven’t adjusted to driving on American roads. There are a ton of elderly people driving that shouldn’t be… I heard on the radio the other day that NY had beaten Miami as the city with the angriest drivers this year. We had held the top spot for like the past 3 years or something…

Rush hour is pretty bad. I would avoid being on the road from 8:30-10 am and from 4-7 pm. I’ve never been to Boston, so I can’t really compare. (I imagine it’s bad in any major city though.) As for the downtown area, the majority of the tall buildings are condominiums. Outside of the downtown area and the beach, there are virtually no multi-story buildings lol.

Miami is an interesting place with an international flair. There’s a lot to do in terms of nightlife, dinning, and shopping. It’s also within driving distance of the Keys, Orlando, and a short flight to anywhere in the Caribbean. :)

Traffic is horrible but as long as you stare directly ahead and do not wave or look at other drivers you will likely not be shot at.
