We’re supposed to be moving to Miami in about a year or sooner. We’re moving to the Liberty City neighborhood.How is this neighborhood? My son is most likely to be attending Miami Northwestern High School. Is that a good high school? I know that have good athletics. Also what’s the closet mall in our neighborhood?The home we are looking at is between the Miami/North Miami border. Is that a good area? THANKS!!!!

Liberty City is a really bad part of town….go with private schools. You can also check out if you want to ask more people… I can tell you that there is not one person who will tell you to move to liberty city.

Burgler is correct. It is probably one of the worst, if not, the worst, part of Miami. Bad neighborhood=bad schools…if you can swing the private school, then look into that. I strongly advise you check out all areas you’re interested in before you invest in a home there.
The safer areas of Miami would be Sweetwater, Kendale, Kendall, Westchester, and Cutler Bay. Those neighborhoods are not expensive, but rather middle-class.

Liberty city is one of the worst neighborhoods in Miami. Miami Northwestern High School is bad also. I suggest you move somewhere else. You can go into the Doral area, Miami Lakes, Pembroke Pines etc.
*EDIT*- I have very sadly seen from your other questions that you do not “want to live by Hispanics”. Miami is full of us! Please move somewhere else, us Hispanics don’t want your type here anyway.

Do you remember 2 Live Crew? They’re from there. Liberty City is going through a “semi-renaissance” . I would rate it as somewhat bad. Not as bad as Overtown, but not good. It’s somewhat economical in comparision to other neighborhoods. Miami Northwestern’s isn’t known for it’s academics, but if you child wants to learn then they will be fine. Closest malls are Westland and Aventura. I would go to Aventura because it has everything. I lived in North Miami for many years and it was the best time in my life.

Liberty city is a horrible neighborhood. WHY MIAMI IF YOU DON”T LIKE HISPANICS? It is so diverse in hispanic cultures it’s unbelievable don’t move here if your against us.
