It depends on what and how you drive. Plus the cost of the fuel itself.

I will go through the math for you just in case:

Miami to Chicago is about 1400 miles. Assuming 25 miles per gallon, you will need 56 gallons of fuel. Then you have to figure the average cost per gallon. Lets say $2.10 and multiply that times gallons and you have a fuel cost of $117.60. There you have a gas money estimate. There are many more expenses involved in driving but you did ask for gas money.

As they say in the ads: Your mileage may vary

Over the summer we drove from Chicago to Orlando and we spent under $120 going there and we spent a little bit more coming back to Chicago. We drove a minivan (Town & Country) 2007. Also, we made frequent stops because of our kids.

    Good Luck!
